Our History

Aldar Tissues was founded by Darren Farrell in 2013. Prior to this, Darren had worked in the sector, buying and selling paper rolls, for several years. The company has grown to become Ireland’s largest indigenous paper converter, and is poised to reach loftier heights as part of the Zeus family.

August 2014

2 Ply range of Jasimine Toilet Tissues launches in Ireland and the UK

February 2015

3 Ply range of Treble Soft tissue launches to market

March 2016

Aldar secures first converting contract and first UK export contracts

January 2017

Aldar secures funding from Enterprise Ireland in major investment round

January 2018

Aldar Tissues is acquired by Zeus Packaging

July 2020

Zeus announces €15m investment in new state of the art manufacturing facility in Rathcoole, Co. Dublin

October 2022

Brand new Aldar Tissues HQ and manufacturing lines begins production of retail products
